The
first ever mainland Chinese musical, that has been written and
composed by a British team, while exclusively aimed at the
British, American, European and Australian theatre markets, and
being directed & designed by Asian/Western team that will open
in the West End prior to it's Broadway run.
The musical is budgeted at an affordable GBP
£4 million, including an Asian workshop and a full 1st
class production. Weekly expenses will not exceed GBP
£200k. Costs are contained
due to physical production creation within China, and the
carefully developed book and music from the outset considering
commercial profitability by keeping cast size and settings
contained. This is very reasonable for a large-scale West End
musical. The Producers have ensured the production is cost effective whilst still
retaining the ‘wow’ factor.
The music will give you a feel for the "east meets west"
focus of our development efforts. The composing team has
researched and worked with authentic Chinese historical
instruments in developing a score that showcases and infuses
these sounds into traditional western musical styles.

The project has generated immense media interest and
encouragement throughout Asia due to the notoriety of the story,
the musical's support from the senior government ministers In
both China and the UK, and of it's creative team.
